Why the route is short
Our map is deliberately compact: fourteen stops inside Zones 1 and 2 that begin at Paddington and Marylebone, cross the West End, dip through SW1 and finish out at Kensington and Chelsea. Keeping it tight means a companion is rarely far away, her travel stays inside the fare, and the desk knows the lobbies, porters and late kitchens along the way instead of guessing at them. A short route is also an honest one: we would rather know fourteen stops properly than pretend to know every corner of Greater London.
