Meet Laura
- Horse riding, skiing, travel in Italy
- Green eyes, sun-streaked light brown hair
- Toned and athletic, 169 cm
- Late twenties, warm fluent English
- Paddington, W2
Green eyes first, bright and amused, and then the rest of Laura comes into focus: light brown hair worn long and lightened by summer, a toned, athletic build and 169 cm of energy held nicely in check by a well-cut dress. Her style is breezy, the elegance of a summer garden party, pale linen, a floral print, flat sandals swapped for heels at the very last moment. She looks as though she has just come in from a long walk and would gladly head straight back out with you.
Adventure is her natural setting. Laura rides whenever she gets the chance, skis every winter with more enthusiasm than caution, and talks about Italy with the fondness most people save for old friends, especially the hill towns where lunch lasts until four. She is warm, energetic and properly interested in people, with fluent English and a laugh that carries across a terrace. Tell her about the best trip you ever took and she will ask exactly the questions that make you remember it better.
Her London is the leafy western edge of the centre, around Paddington and Little Venice. She loves an evening that begins at a canalside table at The Summerhouse on Blomfield Road, narrowboats glowing along the water, followed by a stroll past white stucco terraces toward the Royal Lancaster or the Hilton by the station. On a clear night she may steer you through Lancaster Gate to see the fountains of the Italian Gardens before the park gates close.
Laura is based in Paddington and just as happy meeting guests in Marylebone or Bayswater. The fares are laid out on the rates page, and booking is a single WhatsApp away.

An evening with Laura
Laura's perfect London evening has fresh air in it. She would start with a walk, not a long one, just along the canal from Paddington Basin to Little Venice while the light fades and the houseboat chimneys send up thin grey smoke. She talks about the slopes she skied last winter and the horse that threw her twice before they became friends. Dinner is Italian if she has any say, somewhere with a terrace heater and a waiter who brings more bread without being asked, and she will insist you taste whatever she ordered.
Afterwards comes the hotel: warm lamplight, a last drink and talk that drifts toward the next journey you ought to take, while trains slide quietly out of Paddington into the dark.
Asked and answered
Snow in winter, sunshine in summer, and an Italian hill town any time in between. I am greedy about places.
When I can. Early mornings on the sand track in Hyde Park, before the joggers arrive, are the best start to any day.
People who admit they are hopeless at something and try it anyway. That is exactly how I learned to ski, mostly sideways and entirely happy.

This space fills slowly and honestly. A note only appears once an evening has really taken place, signed with a first name and dated by month, and the desk reads every one before it is published. Laura keeps the right to have any note taken down.
